Our University’s International Relations Office Coordinator and Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Prof. Dr. Gül Erkol Bayram, delivered a presentation titled “Türkiye: Integrating Culture, Sports and Tourism for Sustainable Development” as part of the “Seminar on Integrated Development of Culture, Sports and Tourism for Developing Countries”, held in Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China.

The presentation highlighted Türkiye’s rich potential in the fields of culture, sports, and tourism, emphasizing the integration of these sectors to support sustainable development. Sinop University and the city of Sinop were also introduced as a case study, showcasing the University’s internationalization vision, international academic collaborations, and initiatives in sustainable tourism. In addition, the natural, cultural, and tourism assets of Sinop were presented to participants from various countries.

Bringing together participants from different parts of the world, the seminar provided a valuable platform for enhancing the international visibility of Türkiye, Sinop, and Sinop University. It also fostered mutual knowledge and experience sharing while creating opportunities for the development of future academic and institutional collaborations.
